The coalition members also visited State Superintendent Mike Flanagan and Governor Rick Snyder's offices. They delivered letters inviting the officials to meet with the coalition regarding commitments that Robert Bobb, the current Detroit Public Schools Emergency Financial Manager, made on March 22 at a public meeting hosted by Coming Together for a Better Detroit. In June 2011 a new Emergency Financial Manager will be appointed and the coalition is working to ensure that the new Financial Manager follows through with these commitments.
